Policies and Restrictions

COVID-19 Restrictions:

In-Person attendees must abide by the Institute for Defense Analyses’ (IDA) COVID-19 policies and protocols while attending the workshop.

Please take note of the Institute’s current COVID-19 policies and restrictions.  Attendees must abide by the following IDA COVID-19 policies and protocols while attending the course:

  • Visitors to IDA are not required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.  However, IDA strongly recommends that visitors be fully vaccinated and receive all booster doses recommended by the CDC.
  • Due to a reduction in COVID-19 transmission levels, social distancing and mask usage are not currently required at the IDA Potomac Yard facility.  Individuals may choose to wear a mask at any time.
  • Visitors will be required to complete a daily pre-visit form.  Your IDA point of contact should provide the form to you prior to your visit.  However, additional copies of the form are available in IDA’s lobby if needed.
  • Individuals who have been in close contact with an infected/symptomatic individual may still attend this event. However, a mask must be worn and at least 6 feet of separation should be maintained to the maximum extent possible during all in-person interactions for the 10 days following exposure.  Visitors who have had a close contact should also monitor themselves for any symptoms associated with COVID-19 and immediately arrange to attend the conference virtually if they begin to experience any such symptoms.
  • Individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19, are currently experiencing symptoms associated with a COVID-19 infection, or have recovered from any new/unexpected symptoms associated with a COVID-19 infection within the past 5 days (other than where attributable to known medical causes unrelated to COVID-19), are not permitted to visit IDA and will need to make arrangements to attend the conference virtually.

- IDA will continue to monitor the CDC COVID-19 Community Levels and other indicators and may adjust its COVID-10 policies, as necessary.

- If you cannot or do not wish to abide by these policies, you will need to make arrangements to attend the course virtually.
